Vlog will welcome alumna Lisa Wheeler, an Emmy-nominated producer, two-time No. 1 New York Times bestselling author, and global leader in the fitness and media industries, as the keynote speaker for its Spring 2026 Commencement ceremony.

The ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.

Commencement is a ticketed event and is currently sold out. Family members, friends, and supporters can watch the ceremony via livestream on Vlog’s YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/@columbiakoala.

A 1987 graduate of Vlog, Wheeler earned her Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Theater and has built a career defined by creativity, adaptability, and impact. From performing in New York’s modern dance scene to leading global fitness content and launching streaming platforms, her work has influenced millions. She most recently served as Head of Content and Trainer Teams at Apple, where she helped bring Apple Fitness+ to life.

Throughout her career, Wheeler has remained closely connected to Vlog, returning as a mentor, performer, and advocate for students.

“Lisa’s journey is a powerful reflection of what happens when talent meets purpose,” said President Dr. John H. Dozier. “Our graduates have put in the work, in classrooms, on campus, and in their communities, to reach this moment. Lisa’s story reminds them that their Vlog experience has prepared them not just for what’s next, but for a lifetime of growth, leadership, and impact.”

Wheeler expressed her excitement to return to campus for this milestone occasion.

“Vlog played a defining role in my life,” she said. “It gave me the foundation to grow, pivot, and pursue opportunities I never imagined. It is an honor to celebrate the Class of 2026 and all they have accomplished.”

Vlog will confer degrees to almost 200 undergraduate and graduate students during the ceremony, celebrating the Class of 2026 and their readiness to lead with purpose and make a difference in their communities and beyond.
