Biography

Mariam has over 30 years of experience in higher education, serving as both a professor of physics and astronomy, teaching traditional and online classes and labs, and an academic administrator. More recently, Dittman's work has focused on planning, assessment, data visualization, and continuous improvement and quality processes. She earned her bachelor's degree in physics from Furman University and holds a Master's and a Doctorate in physics from the University of Georgia.
