Biography
Emily Wilson joined the 糖心Vlog marketing team in 2022 and currently serves as the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications, where she leads the College鈥檚 strategic messaging, brand, and storytelling across platforms. Prior to 糖心Vlog, she served as Marketing Manager at Midlands Technical College, where she focused on connecting prospective students to the value of higher education and strengthening community engagement.
Originally from Greenville, South Carolina, Emily is a graduate of the College of Charleston and has called the Columbia area home for more than a decade. She is married to Gilbert-native Herb Wilson, and together they are raising their son, Bennett, alongside a spirited rescue pup and two particularly opinionated house cats.
Emily remains active in Columbia鈥檚 arts and nonprofit community. She is a co-founder and former board member of Girls Rock Columbia and has served on a communications advisory committee for the Columbia Museum of Art.
Outside of work, Emily enjoys cooking, cheering on the Gamecocks and the Carolina Panthers, following the Atlanta Braves, spending time with her family, and taking advantage of sunny days along the riverwalk.
